You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process.Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients.Keep client files properly organized and up to date.Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings.Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases.QualificationsMust have the desire to become board-certified in Family Law.Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements.Must be able to manage a large docket.Work with and delegate to a large spectrum of personalities.We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman.Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases.Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background.Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association).Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants.Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required.Compensation$93,000 - $150,000 yearlyAbout The Bolton Law Firm, PCWe guide clients through their divorce and towards a better life.
