Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice to our clients on all aspects of construction law, including contract law, property law, planning law, and dispute resolution.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for plaintiff's case in construction disputes.
  • Conduct research to inform legal proceedings, gather evidence, formulate defense strategies, and develop arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client.
  • Stay updated on changes in law, regulations, and industry trends related to construction law, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate with a team of lawyers, paralegals, and other staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of legal matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in Indiana.
  • 1+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, ideally in construction law.
  • Proven experience in litigation, accounting, finance, and/or engineering.
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal principles clearly and effectively.
