A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of ICU RN's to work a 13 week travel assignment.The nurses will work 12 hour shifts and it is preferred that they have previous travel experience.Job Requirements
Must have 2 years ICU experiencePrefer experience in similar size or larger ICU and hospitalAre RNs required to titrate drips: YesExperience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years ICU experienceCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Dopamine, Epi, Norepi, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, esmololSchedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours, 7-7:30Utilize travel RNs to fill staffing needs after our staff scheduleDo our best to group night shifts and meet requests to self scheduleWeekend Requirements: Every Other or half of the weekendsHoliday Requirements: Yes- if there is a need, do try to work with requestsIs there a call or standby requirement: NoUnit Specific Information
Unit Details: Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3# of beds: SICU (neuro ICU patients are on this floor as well)-16, MICU-16Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, Septic Shock, OD, Resp failure, neuro surgery, open heartsNurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:2Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse on each unit, does not routinely take an assignmentResource nurse available on each unitAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, 1:82 CNAs per unit on days, 1-1.5 per unit on nightsHospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, bothRT in ICU 24/7: Yes- staff a minimum of 2 in each ICURT Equipment: Vents, BiPAP, CpapAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips: RN monitor and read, SpacelabsFloating Requirements: Will float to other ICUs in the Valley- Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center May be floated outside of ICU to be a 1:1 sitterScrub Color/Dress Code: No requirementUnit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 ShiftsAdditional Details
