As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who can take charge of our accounting operations and help us maintain the high standards that our customers expect.

Position Overview:The Senior Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in driving the financial integrity of Kindred Bravely by leading our accounting team through key processes like financial reporting, internal controls enhancements and implementation, and audit management. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for e-commerce, an expert understanding of GAAP, and a track record of excellent execution.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our financial operations are airtight and that we have a strong foundation to support continued growth.

Requirements

Own the full-cycle accounting process: Manage all accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, revenue recognition) to ensure accurate financial recording and reconciliation.Establish and enhance internal controls: Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls to ensure compliance and enhance financial reporting integrity.Collaborate with FP&A: Work with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning by providing financial data, analyses, and insights.Month-end close and financial reporting: Prepare timely and accurate month, quarter, and year-end financial reports, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses, in compliance with GAAP.Detailed reconciliations and reviews: Perform thorough reconciliations of GL accounts, cash flow, inventory, and revenue, with a structured process and cadence for reviews.Sales tax management: Manage sales tax compliance, in partnership with our software Avalara (Avatax), for the US and Canadian authorities to ensure we are calculating tax accurately, and filing and remitting returns on time.Be the accounting subject matter expert: Act as the go-to resource on complex accounting issues, regulatory changes, and financial best practices.Develop and implement new processes to drive continuous improvement: Lead process improvements and software optimizations that improve accuracy, efficiency, tech debt and are built for growth.Team leadership and development: Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth, scalability, and a collaborative learning environment.Audit and tax support: In partnership with VP of Finance, coordinate with external auditors on yearly audits and ensure efficiency and compliance.Support for corporate tax reporting: Help to support accurate corporate tax filings, working with tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.Build Cross-functional partnerships: Build strong partnerships with cross-functional business teams, acting as a key collaborator to align financial objectives with business operations and growth initiatives.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA required.7+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on e-commerce and/or wholesale in consumer goods (preferably apparel).Proven experience implementing internal controls and managing financial audits.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.Track record of managing and developing a team (both onshore and offshore).Experience with advanced omni-channel business and required accounting software complexities and implementations (e.g., NetSuite, Versapay, AP Automation, Avalara, etc).Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.Master's degree in Accounting or MBA, preferred.Willingness to work PST or MST hours.Why Join Kindred Bravely?

Salary Description

$130-140k annually, commensurate with experience.
