Front of House Manager

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Hire, Schedule and direct all front of house staff in the DeVos Place/DeVos Performance Hall (Ushers, Ticket Takers, Coat Check and other house staff as required for events).
* Coordinate and manage events in the DeVos Performance Hall and associated event spaces.
* Supervise Front of House and Back of House Operations as needed.
* Pre-Event inspections of all event areas.
* Coordinate distribution of event related promotional materials.
* Develop and coordinate front of house staff training program.
* Prepare labor and post event reports.
* Act as FOH "Point Person" for clients, while adhering to appropriate internal policies, procedures, documentation requirements etc.
* Manage/coordinate FOH all client activities, such as Meet & Greets, merch sales, talk-backs, photo ops, VIP services, etc. in conjunction with Stage Manager/Production Manager to meet client needs.
* Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Experience in a Front of House/Customer Service position required.
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills a must.
* Strong problem-solving skills required.
* Good organizational and supervisory skills a must.
Position will frequently require working long hours including nights, weekends, and
holidays.
