Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range- $110,000-135,000

Overview of the Accounting Manager role:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS). Prepare and file tax returns and manage interactions with external auditors.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide insights into financial performance and business operations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations. Handle banking relationships and investment decisions.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, board members, or other stakeholders. Communicate complex financial information in an understandable manner.

Preferred qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
  • 1+ years of experience in a management position
