OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- The Staff Accountant will maintain accurate general ledgers, tracking both simple and complex financial transactions.
- Record contributions, residential care revenue, and handle monthly, quarterly, and yearly account reconciliations.
- The Staff Accountant will manage the fixed asset ledger, ensuring correct capitalization and depreciation.
- Assist with audits by gathering necessary account information and documents.
- The Staff Accountant will support accounts payable by entering bills, reviewing vendor statements, and resolving discrepancies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree in Accounting, or another related field, preferred.
- 0-2 years accounting or related experience required.
