Overview of the Bookkeeper role:
- Manage payroll processing across multiple states
- Handle accounts payable functions efficiently
- Post transactions to the general ledger accurately
- Reconcile bank statements promptly
- Prepare and enter journal entries as needed
- Handle various tax filings including State Excise Reports, Payroll Taxes, Monthly & Quarterly Taxes
Preferred qualifications for the Bookkeeper:
- Minimum of three years of relevant bookkeeping experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Preferred experience in Accounts Receivable
- Proficient in relevant accounting software and MS Excel
