Key Responsibilities for the Revenue Cycle Specialist:

1. Reimbursement Analysis:

   • Analyze reimbursement patterns and identify areas for improvement.
   • Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments.
   • Monitor and report on revenue cycle performance metrics.

2. Claims Management:

   • Oversee the entire claims process, from submission to resolution.
   • Investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims.
   • Collaborate with insurance companies and other stakeholders to address billing issues.

3. Data Extraction and Analysis:

   • Extract and analyze data from various systems to identify trends and discrepancies.
   • Develop reports and dashboards to support decision-making and performance tracking.
   • Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate and present data effectively.

4. Coding:

   • Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses according to industry standards.
   • Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and guidelines.
   • Provide training and support to staff on coding practices.

Qualifications for the Revenue Cycle Specialist:

• Experience in revenue cycle management or a similar role.
• Proficiency in medical coding (CPC certification preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
