The Medical Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patients’ insurance benefits and eligibility, ensuring that all information is documented and communicated to healthcare providers.

Location: Work from Home - All candidates must live in the Dallas – Fort Worth Area & have a designated work space at home.

Pay: $18-20/hr. based on experience

Schedule: 8 hour shift between 7am-7pm CST (8am-8pm EST)

Job Description:

· Confirm patient insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services.

· Obtain medical benefit information for insurance companies.

· Document communication with insurance providers and patients.

· Assist patients in understanding their benefits and possible out-of-pocket costs.

Preferred skills/experience:

• One year of healthcare call center experience
• Benefit verification - Prior Authorization
• Medical collections
• Prefer healthcare work experience and familiarity with medical benefits, medical insurance, prescriptions
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Co-pay, co-insurance, deductible
• PAP - patient assistance programs

Education:

Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
