SUMMARY:

As a member of the Foodservice Sales Strategy & Planning Team, this position is primarily responsible for developing and supporting the portfolio strategy for multiple product categories within the K-12 Segment. This includes ensuring alignment across the Prepared and Poultry business units on key focus items, portfolio attributes, and bidding strategies. The team member will become the K-12 product portfolio expert, focusing on driving increased volume through the K-12 segment by providing the optimal product portfolio, messaging, and key strategic initiatives.

Essential duties & responsibilities include:Assist in the development of annual and long-term strategic channel plans, focusing on product-specific activities and developing strategic and tactical solutions across all brands/categories to drive sales and deliver against the operating plan.Drive K-12 sales and innovation by utilizing insights, trends, customer feedback, sales input, and competitive intelligence to develop the product portfolio innovation platform, identify next-generation portfolio attributes, and provide optimization/rationalization recommendations in partnership with the innovation team.Serve as the K-12 product, nutritional, and regulation expert, responsible for creating and maintaining product portfolio tools, resources, training materials, sales tools, marketing messaging, and reasons to buy, including some website content.Facilitate cross-functional meetings with business units, innovation, and R&D to align on product activities and initiatives and build communication tools to keep the sales team informed of portfolio updates and market changes.Support the sales team in the Monthly S&OP Process.Model behaviors that support Tyson Foods' core values, behaviors, and leadership principles. Establish, nurture, and maintain productive working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.REQUIREMENTS:

Education: bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or other related disciplineExperience: 5 plus years of relevant experience in sales planning, supply planning, customer trade marketing, sales marketing, sales analytics, or category management in the CPG industry. K-12 experience preferred.Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting in front of groups.Special Skills: Strong project management skills; experience in developing and executing strategic plans; holistic business financial acumen with a focus on growing both top and bottom lines; proven experience leading and working cross-functionally; ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and external customers to drive business results; strong focus on understanding and addressing consumer and customer needs; inclusive mindset leverages diverse inputs and talents.Travel: 4-6 trips per year.
