Bridgeway Preparatory Academy 1861 Valley View Lane Suite 100, Farmers Branch, TX 75234RESPONSIBILITIES:The primary responsibility of an adult mentor is to maintain an orderly, positive, and safe environment for our junior mentor's youth engagements. In addition to the aforementioned, our adult mentors play an integral part in the design, support, and implementation of the curriculum, infrastructure systems (cloud & on-premise), and equipment that powers our various programs. While performing the duties of this position, adult mentors will acquire the professional leadership, communication, and technical skills most desired by premier employers.Oversee junior mentor student engagements and maintain an orderly, respectful, and safe learning environment at all times.Implement, support, and administer infrastructure systems (i.e. web services, databases, messaging services, etc).Build, repair, setup, and maintain various computer systems.Design, code, implement, and debug computer programs.Assist in the collection, processing, and tracking of donated systems (i.e. scrubbing computer data and compliance).Organize, track, secure, and maintain business assets and work areas.Coordinate training efforts with international partner organizations and peers.Lead and/or assist junior mentors in the presentation of curriculum.Assess and report strengths and weaknesses of training sessions.QUALIFICATIONS:Access to dependable transportation.Communicate clearly and effectively.Ability to work both independently and within a team setting.Be able to pass a comprehensive background check (to work with minors).Ability to work with emotionally/mentally challenged youth and adults in a patient, supportive, non-hostile, and constructive manner.Must be an enrolled student.High School diploma or equivalent.Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-directed, motivated individuals.People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.We believe diversity is essential to our educational mission and to the success of our community.
