Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembling equipment.
- Understanding and implementing machine automation, PLC, and hydraulic and pneumatic automation systems.
- Maintaining records of each inspection, repair, and maintenance task for future reference.
- Collaborating closely with other team members and departments to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve our processes and systems.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Maintenance Technician role will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient mechanical skills, with a deep understanding of the functionality and components of different types of machinery.
- Strong preventive maintenance and repairing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Solid electrical skills, with the ability to safely and effectively troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Extensive knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with PLC, machine automation, and hydraulic and pneumatic automation systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other team members and departments.
