Position Summary
The Law & Indigenous Peoples Program and the Natural Resources & Environmental Law Program at the UNM School of Law seek a Law Certificate Programs Coordinator. This position will support and serve as the administrative lead for both certificate programs. Main duties include: working with program directors and faculty to inform and advise students on how to meet certificate requirements; staffing program meetings; planning and implementing program events; developing and updating web and print materials; administering program budgets; developing and maintaining program mailing lists and communications.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience advising college/graduatestudents
- Experience working in Nativecommunities:
Experienceworking with Native college/graduate students
Interestin areas of Indian Law/Tribal Courts/Community Tribal Development
- Knowledge of and/or interest innatural resources and environmental issues
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excelsoftware
- Proficiency in calendaring softwaresuch as Outlook
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
- Strong organizational skills
