Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of experience preferred License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Pediatric/NICU experience preferred - Ability to work in critical care settings preferred Job Description: - Perform respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizers/inhalers, volurex, oxygen therapy/titration, airway clearance, trach changes, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and overnight oximetry. - Utilize equipment such as One Chart, Accudose medication dispensing system, Avea Ventilators, Hamilton Ventilators, V-60 BiPAP, SiPAP, Oscillator 3100A & B, Jet Vent, Metaneb, Aerogen. - Work collaboratively in all areas of the hospital, including ER, critical care, and general nursing floors. - Participate in a two-day orientation program: Day one covers computer training and orientation to the floors; Day two focuses on critical care orientation. - Follow a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, primarily day shifts with occasional night shifts as requested by management. Expect to work every other weekend and holidays. - Never work alone; collaborate with a team in providing care.
