Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization by members of the recovery community in Mesa, Arizona, Community Bridges Inc. has held as its principal mission “maintaining the dignity of human life” for more than 40 years.The District of Columbia Stabilization Center (DCSC), operated by Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI), will offer immediate, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year, no cost, low barrier access to Crisis SUD services for individuals 18 years of age and older, regardless of gender, insurance, and citizenship status. The DCSC will provide individuals experiencing an SUD crisis with person-centered and a recovery-oriented alternative to unnecessary encounters at emergency departments or interactions with law enforcement. The DCSC will ensure those individuals seeking or referred for services will receive integrated and comprehensive care to address their specific needs in a supportive clinical and recovery-oriented environment. CBI will hire pursuant to the DC EEO provisions.Job SummaryThe primary function of the Program Director is to provide oversight and day-to-day management of the recovery home program, monitor the management of the program’s resources, and coordinate overall service delivery and personnel administration of the recovery home. This position will work closely with community partners, core service agencies, faith-based agencies, and community organizations providing education and representing the recovery home. The Program Director will serve as a key point of contact with District of Columbia (DC) agency personnel on reporting and appropriate referrals. The Program Director plays an essential role in the delivery of CBI’s mission to Maintain the Dignity of Human Life.Skills/Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Health Care, or Social Work field required.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with opiate or stimulant use disorders and working in a recovery home environment required.Two (2) or more years of professional supervisory and/or managerial experience in the human services and/or social services delivery systems preferred.Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.CBI is growing and expanding our services!We are experiencing tremendous growth during this time.
