The Billing Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing complex billing duties in efforts to meet monthly targets, while acting as liaison between billing attorneys, attorney support assistants, legal attorneys, and/or organization (customers), and the billing staff, as well as responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner. This role will be located in our Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:Preparing and analyzing complex client billingCommunicating with customers to ensure their requests from the billing staff are being met; updating customers on the status of tasks and/or projectsProviding accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses; ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm’s set guidelines and policiesGenerating and reviewing proformas from 3E (pre-existing or generating new charges)Tracking delivery of client invoices and matter statusesProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe’d love to hear from you if you:Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmExhibit the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focusPossess thorough knowledge of procedures such as posting, balancing, debits, and creditsAnd have:A high school diploma or an equivalentA bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, preferablyA minimum of three (3) years of experience in general accounting practices, including a minimum of two (2) years of experience with billing processes and practicesPrior experience with professional services billing operations system, preferablyBenefits & Additional Information
