Your Job Map

This job contributes to REI’s success by leading the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs (including executive compensation, base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, and recognition) that are aligned with the Co-op’s values and strategic business priorities. This role ensures that our compensation packages are equitable, competitive, and in compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities:

Leading the Way

Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.

Supports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote REI key messages.

Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results.

Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.

Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.

Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.

Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve department, company and customer results.

Establishes and maintains visibility within the department.

Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action.

Your Planning & Navigating Requirements

Develop and implement compensation programs that are aligned with the organization's values and strategic priorities.

Lead compensation projects and initiatives, including annual salary and incentive cycles ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.

Prepare presentation materials and documents for the Compensation Committee of the Board and senior business leaders.

Research and review industry trends, including market practices and salary survey data, to ensure that our compensation packages are competitive and enable the organization to attract, engage, and retain top talent.

Collaborate with HR and business leaders by providing guidance on compensation recommendations, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.

Advocate for and implement equitable compensation practices, promoting equity and transparency across the organization.

Develop and maintain compensation training and communication programs to educate managers and employees about compensation programs.

Develop and maintain metrics to track the effectiveness of compensation programs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Stay current with developments in compensation regulations and ensure that the organization's compensation programs are in compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in broad-based and executive compensation design, delivery, and administration

At least 5 years in a leadership and people management role.

Strong knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation information to employees at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and analyze data to inform compensation decisions.

Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.

Base Pay Range: USD $122,800.00 - USD $208,700.00 /Yr.
