Summary
The mission of our Supply Chain Planner is to manage an assigned supply base, projects, and strategic initiatives to advance sustainable planning prowess for Autocar. The Supply Chain Planner will drive analytics, systemic actions, and behavioral decision making to ensure right parts, in right quantities are available, as needed and scheduled, in support of our customers.

Achieving, improving and exceeding targeted purchasing standards and goals, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the product supply chain.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and execute procurement of finished goods from manufacturers and suppliersMaintain strong working relationships and communications directly with the manufacturers and suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveriesDevelop and maintain a strong business relationship with domestic and international suppliersProactively report product and material availability issuesMaintain, monitor reports; revise essential system planning data to ensure planning system is effectively planning future requirementsMaintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information in ERP systemLead monthly vendor collaboration meetingsComplete special projects and assignments as requestedPosition Requirements

Supply Chain Planning experience, long lead time procurement and kit planning helpful.Strong analytical, planning and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)Proficient in Microsoft Office, Expert level in ExcelAn understanding of Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Distribution Requirements PlanningKnowledge of planning triggers/settings (safety stock, time phased requirements)Familiarity with NetSuite and BI software a plusSelf-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing prioritiesBachelor’s Degree Required; preferred supply chain, logistics or mathematics focus2 years’ supply chain experience in a distribution environment preferredAPICS or similar certification preferredKey Competencies
