Position Details:

Title:

Supply Chain Planner

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-5 years Supply Chain experience, preferably with a background in chemical manufacturing.

Schedule:

8:30 am - 5:00 pm, M-F - this position requires onsite presence with a hybrid option. (1 day/week after 90 days).

Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Planner, this position will be responsible for the Demand and Supply Planning. This individual will be actively involved in the S&OP Process, SKU rationalization, new product launches as well as inventory management, contributing directly to the improvement of customer service levels, profitability, and inventory performance.

Essential Functions

Develop and execute monthly product demand and supply plans to meet customer expectations and financial goals. Review historical sales trends, open orders, and collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand customer priorities and capacity constraints.

Utilize quantitative and qualitative techniques to perform demand, supply, customer or product related analysis and what-if scenario planning for existing and new products. Present findings and recommendations to facilitate decision making at the S&OP meetings.

Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner. Update customers and sales teams on product availabilities efficiently.

Measure and publish performance metrics such as OTIF, Production Schedule Adherence, Forecast Accuracy etc. to drive continuous improvements.

Perform product allocations and identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.

Perform analysis to assist in supply chain risk assessment and mitigation opportunities.

Collaborate with internal business partners on New Product Launches, SKU rationalization, and action plans to address slow moving and obsolete inventory.

Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting and participate in supply chain projects and initiatives for continuous improvements.

Facilitate meetings, monitor and report project status, and collaborate with team members to complete projects on-time and on-budget.

Complete special assignments and prepare reports/project summaries, as required.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

2-3 years supply chain planning experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing.

IT savvy with solid ERP and Excel experience.

Self-starter, strong initiative, dependable and capable of following through with minimal supervision.

Detail-oriented problem-solving skills.

Excellent analytical skills - ability to translate raw data into actionable business information.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to perform detailed administrative duties with speed and accuracy under limited supervision.

Excellent teamwork and collaborative attitude.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally for problem resolution.

Can perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills

Previous experience working in complex manufacturing environment.

D365 software experience.

Education

BS Degree in relevant field such as Supply Chain, Business, or Statistics, or comparable business experience in a related position.

Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk for extended periods of time; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: This position requires one to mainly work both in an office environment; intermittently in a warehouse, production, or lab environment. Safety gear is required when working in certain areas of facilities.
