Responsibilities

Hospital Charge Master (CDM):

Accountable for:

Maintaining and updating hospital charge master

Review, identify, and analyze necessary CPT changes related to quarterly and annual AMA CPT updates and HSCRC regulations including:

Revenue codes

HSCRC Rate Centers

Approved Rate / Price Compliance

Assist with price changes as needed

Ad hoc requests as needed

Revenue Integrity:

Monitor and assist with review of revenue cycle work queues in EPIC.

Analyze billing errors and denial data to identify root cause of issues.

Work with Revenue Integrity Team, Clinical Operations and Patient Financial Services staff to implement corrective actions to ensure compliant charges, prevent future rejections/denials and accurate reimbursement.

Ad hoc requests as needed

Abstract Submission:

Assists with process of submission of state mandated abstract reports.

Assists with coordination of affected departments, including Medical Records, Admitting and Patient Accounting to ensure tape data integrity.

Complete abstract reconciliations and modifications as needed. Including:

Working with IT to make needed changes to the data pull to remain in compliance with HSCRC regulation.

Attending HSCRC meetings in person or virtually when abstract data is reviewed.

Maintain reconciliation of abstract data within DI, working with Data team.

Accountability for timely, complete, and accurate monthly & quarterly submissions.

Requirements

Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Must demonstrate clear aptitude and desire to work in an environment requiring analytical skills

Healthcare experience preferred

Epic experience preferred
