Procurement and Warehouse Supervisor

to join our fast-growing bakery management team. As the business expands, this role will be critical in ensuring the efficient procurement of ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies to support increased production demands. You will oversee warehouse operations, manage inventory levels, and build strong relationships with suppliers, all while maintaining cost efficiency and high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Procurement and Purchasing:

Source and purchase ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast, etc.), packaging, and other bakery supplies.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.Ensure timely delivery of goods to maintain consistent production flow.Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and new suppliers.

Inventory and Warehouse Management:

Oversee warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient storage practices.Manage stock rotation and prevent material wastage using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.Implement inventory control systems to minimize overstocking and stockouts.Coordinate with the production team to forecast material requirements based on production schedules.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality materials and timely deliveries.Evaluate supplier performance regularly in terms of cost, quality, and reliability.Resolve any discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or quality.Cost Control and Budgeting:

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.Track purchasing costs and provide regular reports to management on Cost-Of-Goods-Sold (COGS) expenditure and savings.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, health, and safety regulations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.

Collaboration and Communication:

Liaise with the production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of supply chain operations.Communicate effectively with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.Address any supply chain issues that may impact bakery operations in a timely manner.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Experience:

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in procurement, warehousing, or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities.Proficiency in using inventory management software (ERP systems).Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP) is a plus.
