As a valued member of our company, you will have the opportunity to support our environmental and social initiatives to drive progress against our corporate social responsibility and B Corp certification ambitions.Position Summary:The Senior Category Manager (Walmart) is responsible for championing the development and execution of short and long term BFA Portfolio plans that leverage consumer, syndicated data and customer insights, as well as future trends. The Category Manager will focus on delivering business driving sales stories and customer growth opportunities through deep analysis of the Category, Marketplace and Competition. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, I&D and Syndicated Suppliers) to gather relevant data and information to craft compelling presentations to grow distribution and sales of the BFA portfolio and Customers Category.Position Responsibilities:The Sr Category Manager will partner with the Commercial Strategy and Insights Team Lead and Walmart Sales VP to develop the long term strategic plans for the Walmart Inc businesses, and for translating them effectively into annual plans and programs. Of primary importance in these plans will be profitable growth for both BFA and Walmart.Provide analytical insights for the produce category for BFA to identify trends and suggest strategies to maximize profitable sales growth.Partner closely with all internal parties to understand the latest insights and provide recommendations on category management strategic opportunities.Partner closely with Marketing to drive innovation budgets, planning, and targets.Drive applicable insights with shelf design and item assortment recommendations.Development and deployment of customer scorecards.Manage 3rd party data provider (Spins/Luminate) ensuring data integrity.Development and maintenance of Customer Category Reviews.Creation of New Item Trackers, benchmarking, and progress reports.Maintain an awareness of customers' current activities such as promotions, new item launches, discontinued products, new product development, price changes, etc., and take necessary actions to execute the plans.Directly accountable for special projects assigned by the manager as they correlate to career development.Strong analytical skills that translate to actionable insights to further grow and develop the packaged salad category.Ability to mine customer data to identify the category, segment, and brand trend opportunities.Assist in the development of internal/external presentations to enhance selling opportunities.Ability to effectively and efficiently present ideas in front of customer leadership/internal leadership.Position Requirements:2-3 years of experience in Insights or Category Management within the retail consumer packaged goods industry.Experience working with Walmart (Luminate experience preferred)/Sam’s Club and Category Advisorship preferred.Experience in the fresh-cut produce industry or other Food CPG categories required.College degree required. MBA strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in influencing and growing sales by turning insights into action including experience leading customer presentations.Excellent attention to detail, planning and attention to detail.Good communication skills (both verbal and written); presentation experience required.Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated success in managing key projects against established deadlines through self efforts.Experience managing Syndicated Data Suppliers and Datasets, Luminate experience required.Strong computer literacy: must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Occasional overnight travel.Occasional driving, requiring up-to-date car insurance.
