Walmart’s Digital Governance group is looking for a Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance for our Enterprise Privacy Risk Assessment team. We’re seeking a highly motivated, action-oriented privacy expert who is at ease providing privacy compliance guidance to business and technical teams. We need a strong contributor who can drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects, while partnering with the broader legal and compliance teams. The successful candidate will be a compliance professional who is passionate about ensuring privacy compliance while providing exceptional internal customer experiences and promoting digital trust and transparency.What you’ll do...Serving as a subject matter expert on data privacy and protection laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.Leading data privacy and protection risks assessments and remediation efforts.Performing monitoring activities as necessary to ensure continued compliance in identified high-risk areas.Developing, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of, compliance-related questions, controls, and dashboards intended to address compliance issues.Proactively identifying and responding to privacy compliance trends and concerns.Ensuring that business and technical tools are compliant with privacy laws and regulations.Working with cross-functional teams comprised of business, technology, compliance, and legal partners to address privacy requirements and help drive digital trust and transparency.Responding to privacy-related questions and issues raised by Walmart’s business teams, other compliance associates, and leadership.Partnering with teams to develop and present privacy compliance training modules to promote data privacy and protection culture and awareness throughout the company.Supporting other Digital Citizenship compliance initiatives as needed.Driving improvement and change through expertise and influence.Cultivating an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.What you’ll bring...Subject matter expertise in compliance concepts, with specific experience managing data privacy regulations and frameworks and working with data privacy compliance platforms.Understanding the relationship between privacy, technology, and security.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate detailed and complex information and privacy concepts in an accurate and understandable manner to technical and non-technical audiences.Experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment and establishing collaborative relationships with business and technology partners and compliance peers.Organization, discipline, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Problem-solving and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary.A demonstrable sense of accountability, bias for action, and sound professional judgment.The ability to build trust and credibility and inspire associates across the business.Experience in privacy issues in a customer-facing company, eCommerce/retail, or a strong technology background.Ideally, a CIPP or other privacy or risk compliance related certification or a Juris Doctorate degree.Leadership Expectations:Lives Our Values – Culture Champion
