Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - Fire Compliance/Fire Safety

Join the US Environment Health & Safety Fire Code Team to build and support fire safety programs for the world’s largest retailer. This role is critical as we continue to develop strategies for a first-class compliance program that effectively mitigates fire and regulatory risk in our retail business. You will support business partners in assessing risk, building corresponding controls, developing training and awareness programs, and assisting our design and engineering teams.What you’ll do:
Coordinate with stakeholders to drive effective implementation of fire safety related initiativesPartner with stakeholder groups to develop fire-related product attributes and manage proper storage practicesBuild new fire and life safety programsManage fire system and fire code related projectsPartner with stores to mitigate fire code related concernsSupport Facilities Services with their efforts to resolve fire code deficienciesDevelop data analytics that drive continuous improvementWhat you’ll bring:
Subject matter expert in fire code or fire safetyYou are a fire protection or mechanical engineerSignificant project or construction management experienceA risk management related mindset that balances business needs and urgency when managing fire initiativesStrong communication skills and are effective at simplifying technical issuesExperience working in cross-functional teamsA degree in a fire related field or have equivalent regulatory experience as a fire marshal or fire inspectorThe above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
