$20/hrGeneral Responsibilities

Responsible for proctoring placement, academic, nursing, and external certification examinations. This position will review student records to determine eligibility to test, conduct candidate intake, and enter results into the institutional ERP system. Serves as a liaison to faculty and staff to receive and process test submissions. Provides information to current and prospective students to aid them in enrolling and registering at Howard Community College.Work Performed

Provides students with appropriate testing instructions in accordance with instructor, institution, and vendor requirements.Administers both paper-based and computerized testing in accordance with instructor, institution, and vendor requirements.Utilizes technology, including software and camera system, to monitor testing sessions, ensure academic honesty, and maintain test security.Provides objective written accounts of any testing irregularities in accordance with center and college policies.Provide technology support for students testing in-person or remotely for placement and academic testing.Assists students in accessing test center services, including the provision of appropriate testing accommodations, scheduling appointments, and receiving results.Assists faculty and staff in utilizing test center services, including reviewing and processing exam submissions.Reviews records in student information system to interpret student records and determine testing eligibility.Maintains training and proctor certification with external testing vendors.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of college and center policies related to testing, including the academic honesty policies and student code of conduct.Inputs test results to institutional ERP system upon completion.Attends college fairs, visits schools and/or community organizations, and participates in other dedicated events to promote testing services.Provides ongoing quality communication, effective customer service, and support to prospective and current students.Provide remote/virtual customer service.Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience. All degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.Minimum two years of related experience required.Excellent computer skills required, proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel; Microsoft Windows; prior information system experience is a benefit.Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to identify and set priorities, multi-task, manage large volumes of records and files, and meet deadlines.Ability to provide excellent customer service is required.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.Outstanding interpersonal skills required, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of students, faculty, and staff required.Experience with students with documented disabilities preferred.Demonstrated ability to foster a cooperative team-focused work environment required.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information and materials while abiding by state and federal privacy laws including FERPA.Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.Commitment to diversity.
