ADON

is responsible for the clinical practice of Nursing which includes assisting the DON in directing all services. As a member of nursing services leadership this position ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with the facility's goals and objectives, and actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management in designing and providing total patient care and services and provides an adequate staffing pattern to meet patient needs, based on patient census and as determined by the patient acuity system. Under the direction of the DON, the ADON position is an integral component of nursing services performance improvement activities.This opportunity provides the following benefits:Challenging and rewarding work environmentGrowth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiariesCompetitive CompensationExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan401k plan with company matchTuition/ Continuing Education ReimbursementGenerous Paid Time Off and Extended Leave HoursThe Successful Assistant of Nursing Services will be able to:Co-direct the provision of 24-hour nursing services for the facility.Assist in the development, implementation and revision of corporate, facility and Nursing Services policies and procedures within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the facility.Review the progress, quality and effectiveness of all nursing programs.Assist in establishment of methods for evaluating nursing care practices, formulation of plans for new programs and changes to existing programs, and initiate and/or utilize studies and research applicable to the development and improvement of nursing services.Assist in the establishment of nursing committees as needed for quality and patient care needs and serve as the leader of those committees.Ensure all Nursing Services programs maintain current departmental manuals.Maintain an active involvement and awareness of all patient admissions, discharges and transfers.Act as a behavior role model in transmitting clinical and procedural expertise to other nursing staff.Perform chart audits monthly for performance improvement and compliance.Show evidence of continuing education in the area of psychiatric nursing standards of evidence-based practices, nursing administration, nursing management and hospital administration.Maintain membership in appropriate nursing and health care related organizations.Assist in maintaining and allocating a well-qualified core of staff resources.Assist in the provision of educational needs and professional development of staff.Ensure an adequate system of communication and reporting is maintained between all staff members, as well as other departments involved in the ongoing operation of the program.Routinely review job assignments and utilization of staff.Continuous Quality Improvement.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred; psychiatric experience strongly desired.Experience:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in nursing supervisory role or leadership experience and/or strong dedicated leadership experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.Licensure:

Current unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse by the Ohio Board of Nursing, or Compact License from another state.Apply at www.foxruncenter.comEOE
