Wunderlich Malec is in the process of opening a new 60,000 sqft manufacturing facility in Baldwin, FL (a suburb of Jacksonville, FL). This facility will primarily focus on manufacturing and fabrication of electrical control panels and modular buildings for the electric utility and industrial electrical markets as an extension of our successful Winslow, ME facility, in operation since 2004.We are looking for a leader for this strategic position with strong project management, customer service, and business skills to help start, grow, and manage this new business unit to achieve technical excellence, revenue, profitability, and strategic targets. This role provides Project Management, Account Management, and Technical Expertise for various-sized projects.Project Management Responsibilities

Responsible for project execution, task identification, prioritization and scheduling, financial tracking and management to budget, risk management including early problem identification and conflict resolution, procurement, subcontracts, supporting engineers, communications and meeting leadership, account/client management. Work will include project(s) ranging in size up to $10M. This position is responsible for ensuring overall project profitability.Ensures that all project team members clearly understand the scope of WM responsibilities on assigned projectsDevelops and maintains standard communication and technical documentation for project implementation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates, etc.)Responsible for all project invoicing to the customerDevelops and maintains project schedules per WM and customer requirements; proficient with Microsoft Project/critical path and float analysis/resource levelingEvaluates and reports progress on project(s) and details changesResponsible for all purchasing and subcontractor requirements for assigned projectsResponsible for the development of costs and proposal of change orders to contract scopeNegotiates change orders to comply with customer and contract requirementsDevelops and implements a cash flow plan for the project including A/R collectionsProvides timely financial forecasts on costs, budgets, C/O's, and scheduleServes as WM's primary interface with the customer during the implementation phase of assigned projectsIdentify sales opportunities, confidence to suggest scope changes with justifications, ability to network across targeted industries; Provides input to proposals and technical support to closing new business.Works with Business Unit Manager continuously to ensure we have all required shop resources (labor, space, tools, etc.) for scheduled work ahead of timeBusiness Responsibilities

Supports development and execution of the short to long-term strategic plan, including the income goals of the Business UnitResponsible for periodic business reporting and support relevant business meetingsSupport Business Unit recruitment and hiring per strategic staffing planEvaluate the project needs and competency of business unit staff to achieve optimum resource poolSupport business unit staff with their career development planning and growthSupport the Business Unit Manager and Business Development team on business development activitiesManage key accounts/customers including contract and rate negotiations, client-specific staffing, business development, and strategic planningAbility to effectively develop and manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for projects of varying size and complexity, including customer and business unit reporting of scope, schedule, and earned valueDevelopment of project budget, execution plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and proposalsEducation

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE preferred)PMP certification preferredPreferred Skills/Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of project management-related experience in the electrical power, manufacturing, or construction industry. Strong leadership and client relation skills are required.Working Environment
