Senior Manager Food Safety and Quality

SFC Global Supply Chain, Inc., a subsidiary of Schwan’s, seeks a Senior Manager Food Safety and Quality in Salina, Kansas. Responsible for managing the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) and Sanitation or co-pack functions for a large manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with the Company’s food safety and quality objectives.Direct activities in a Schwan’s manufacturing facility or with suppliers and co-packers to ensure compliance in accordance with USDA (US Dept of Ag), SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points), Preventive Controls (FSMA compliance), FDA (Food & Drug Administration), and overall good manufacturing practices.Key Responsibilities:Serve as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) coordinator and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for the facility.Act as the on-site recall coordinator.Ensure execution of daily product cuttings, specification approval, and SPC program execution.Maintain strong working relationships with appropriate personnel in each Schwan Business Unit.Responsible for the food safety of all products and processes (i.e., Hold management program, Corrective Action program, facility audits).Maintain identity preserved products and specification compliance on ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.Coordinate annual employee training programs for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), HACCP, and other food safety/quality issues.Lead resolution and remediation of regulatory and customer-related food safety and product quality issues.Develop and implement food safety, regulatory, and quality strategic plans for the site.Utilize and critically evaluate data from various sources to identify root causes and lead teams towards resolution.Effectively lead projects to completion in a timely manner with demonstrated results.Apply continuous improvement tools (SPC, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) in problem solving and process improvements.Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration of processes to assure quality.Infrequent travel to other facilities in the U.S. – less than 10%.Interested candidates should apply online at
