Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation:

Starting pay rate of $17.75, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits:

Full-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:The Lead Rental Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ski and snowboard rental department. This role ensures that all rental equipment is properly maintained, fitted, and issued to guests with the highest level of customer service. The Lead Technician will manage a team of technicians, ensuring efficiency, safety, and a positive guest experience.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Assist with the opening and closing of the rental shop location

Lead, train, and mentor a team of rental technicians

Provide exceptional customer service, fit boots and adjust bindings to proper settings to ensure customer comfort and safety

Ensure that all technicians are knowledgeable about equipment and fitting procedures

Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner

Educate guests on the proper use of rental equipment and safety procedures

Oversee the maintenance of all rental equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, and poles

Ensure that equipment is properly tuned, adjusted, and cleaned after each use

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management for equipment purchases or repairs

Handle injury reporting for ski patrol requirements

Maintain accurate records of equipment rentals, returns, and maintenance

Work closely with other departments, such as ski school and guest services, to coordinate equipment needs and guest requests

Provide regular updates to management on equipment status, staff performance, and guest feedback

Perform other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Certification in tech duties is required

Previous experience in ski and snowboard rentals or related field

Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, fitting techniques, and safety standards

Ability to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance

Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment

Certification in ski or snowboard equipment fitting and repair

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High level of organization and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Strong leadership skills with experience in team management

Excellent customer service and communication skills
