OBJECTIVE:

To develop and manage a comprehensive tribal men's services program to meet the needs of male victims in the Bristol Bay Region.QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results. Job knowledge/documentation required: Bachelor's degree in human or social services, or related field. Two years experience preferred in social and human services, behavioral health, mental health, victim's service, or related fields. Work experience in social and human services, behavioral health, mental health, victim's services, or related fields may substitute for education requirements. Must be goal-oriented and able to work independently with little direct supervision. Ability to independently track multiple tasks and provide follow-through to ensure timelines and funding requirements are met. Job requires enjoyment working with a wide range of people and backgrounds, and ability to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills: MS programs, email/internet, and database programs. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, cultures, and their economic needs. Must be willing/able to travel occasionally in and out of region.ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

Achieve Program Goals

by:Daily management to include planning and implementing male victims services program.Understanding the Tribal Men's Services Program and becoming proficient with National, State, and local laws governing victims services.Participating in development and application of the Tribal Men's Services Program policies and procedures.Ensuring that all suspected cases of child or elder abuse and neglect are promptly reported to the proper authorities.Attending meetings and training related to the Tribal Men's Services Program.Understanding and implementing the State of Alaska Background Clearance Unit (BCU) process to ensure staff/volunteers have background clearances, as needed.Understanding and utilizing the Victim Compensation Program, as needed.Provide Fiscal Management

by:Administering budgetary and contractual obligations for Program grants.Submitting timely, accurate reports to funding agencies.Identifying and applying for new funding sources.Keep Management Informed

by:Producing written annual operations plan, quarterly activities report, mid-term report, and annual report, to the Program Development Director that document accomplishments toward reaching program goals and objectives.Informing management of any issues which may impact program operations.Ensuring the program has well-trained, qualified staff by participating in recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of program staff.Helping staff understand the reason behind their job duties, how regulations apply, and how to ensure accountability for their efforts.Ensuring that staff and volunteers receive instruction and training in providing victim services.Understanding the background clearance process and attending the background training to meet State licensing regulations ensuring that clients' children are not left alone with individuals who have not been issued clearance (including volunteers).Coordinating with staff to ensure appropriate staffing and supervision to adequately serve clients.Training staff to follow the policies and procedures manual for consistent and quality client services.Monitoring staff and preparing annual evaluations.Providing a positive role model and necessary support to staff and clients.Developing curriculum to implement culturally appropriate client training.Maintains safe and operational facilities, equipment, and adequate supplies

by:Assuring that sheltering sites are safe, accessible, and free of fire hazards.Acting as first point of contact for service needs.Maintaining facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations and local fire department standards.Monitor and improve program and service quality

by:Observing, documenting, and assessing the level of effectiveness of the program.Identifying strong points and areas that require improvement.Travel in and out of region

by:Scheduling well-planned trips to provide services; participating in training and conferences, to communicate and exchange current information significant to achieving the goals of the Program.Protect program integrity and client privacy

by:Abiding by BBNAs policies in regard to confidential information and keeping any confidential information gained through employment at BBNA absolutely confidential during and after this employment.Contribute to the overall team effort

DOE $47,988 - $75,715/yr. = $24.01 - 38.83/hr.REPORTS TO:
