How You’ll Contribute:

Develops and maintains strong business relationships with Ritter Sport’s brokers by developing sales strategies, promotional plans and KPI management aligned with Ritter Sport’s business development objectives.

Identifies opportunities/gaps within each assigned retailer, wholesaler and distributor; and implement plans to optimize everyday distribution and placement within retail stores.

Collaborates with brokers to identify opportunities for expansion and penetration into new customers.

Meets and maintains relationships with key decision makers at existing accounts to maintain and increase sales of Ritter Sport products.

Identifies and drives execution of key programs; identifies threats and opportunities to affect sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies and profitability.

Partners with marketing and finance to develop and implement targeted promotions and/or shopper marketing programs to assist in securing/maintaining distribution and to drive product velocity.

Implements in-store promotional activities and analyzes the effectiveness of marketing initiatives; adjusting strategies as needed to achieve sales objectives.

Conduct product training sessions for brokers and retail staff. Stays informed about industry trends and consumer preferences related to premium chocolate products to guide sales and marketing efforts.

Generates regular reports to effectively plan each customer’s business; analyzes sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

Provides monthly, quarterly and annual customer forecasts to Ritter Sport Demand Planning to ensure the business continuously planned.

Specific to planning, helps lead the annual customer planning process

Presents insights, recommendations and timely sales forecasts to senior management to inform strategic decision-making and externally to customers to influence product distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising.

Experience and Skills:

About YOU:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

7+ years of previous consumer packaged goods sales and broker management experience; preferred experience in the confectionary category (previous premium chocolate sales preferred)

Previous experience with Circana/IRi and/or Nielsen Data forecasting.

Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.

Demonstrated continuous sales success in growing distribution and implementing effective promotions at retail across multiple classes of trades and differing customers including previous experience and accountability in sales forecasting and annual customer business planning.

Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with brokers, customers, attend trade shows, visit retail locations and travel to Chicago as required. Travel estimate 35-50%.
