But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:Positive attitude and passion for making people smile, and truly enjoy their experience.Value for high quality food and beverage, and appreciation for the technique associated with production.Sense of adventure and engaging energy.Ability to communicate effectively with team members, both BOH and FOH, Management, and Community.What you’ll be doing:Developing, planning and selling private parties at Punch Bowl Social.Responsible for generating private party sales first proactively, second organically.Actively participating in weekly meetings and setting communication standards and expectations with management team.Establishing sales objectives by creating sales plan and quotas.Achieving sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.Continually growing relationships with current and new clients.Actively seeks out convention/tourism business.Working with General Manager on PR, sales & marketing initiatives.Responsible for effective contract management.Assuming responsibility for execution of events, communicating all requests of the client in an effective and sensitive manner.Ensuring all required elements are scheduled, ordered, and communicated with team.Supporting a team of teams with various operational duties such as team recruiting, onboarding, and training as needed.What we’re looking for:Minimum of 3 years in restaurant or hotel event sales, with a proven track record in event-specific sales.Experience in event operations (a plus!).Extensive understanding of the market and industry trends.Proven experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments for at least 3 years.Familiarity with event operations and the ability to adapt to varying schedules based on event volume.Ability to accommodate and work schedules that align with restaurant and bar volume demands.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong math aptitude for financial reporting and budget management.Experience in managing, leading, and motivating a team of employees.*** Must be 21 years old and over ***This posting will be open until 10/15/24.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship status, ancestry, age, marital or veteran status, physical or mental disability, arrest record, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state and local laws.
