Centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth, the 888-room resort features five restaurants and lounges, two pools with an authentic sandy beach, cabanas and a water slide, a fitness center, full-service spa and salon, and 266,000 square feet of meeting and event space.Assists Director of Housekeeping by ensuring all new and existing team members are trained to provide consistent Loews service by maintaining complete adherence to all Loews Hotels standards related to the housekeeping function. Presents and conducts departmental orientation and training sessions for all new team members. Monitors and maintains new hire and on-going housekeeping training programs.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesEnsure standardized presentation and delivery of training materialsPresent effective new hire orientation program for all newly hired housekeeping team membersWork with Director of Housekeeping to create training schedules for new GRAsMonitor GRA training period with Star Trainer(s)Document each step of on-boarding and training processComplete and track training checklists on all new hiresParticipate in monthly departmental meetings with housekeeping Star Trainers and ManagersAttend housekeeping management meetingsMonitor consistency of housekeeping product and service for the department, reporting any variancesParticipate with management to address team member opinion surveys, Medallia, shops and performance issuesCommunicate and implement updates to housekeeping standards and initiativesCreate quality assurance teams to include all areas of housekeepingOversee and conduct compliance training in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulationsOversight and coordination of housekeeping Star Trainer programAssist in housekeeping operations and/or specials projects, as determinedAssist with the development and implementation of safety incentive programsProvide assistance with team member related eventsRegular attendance in conformance with standardsConduct audits/inspections of Mighty CleanConduct audits/inspections of GRA MM trackingInspections of rooms and scoring of rooms to maintain consistency of productAssists with re-certification of team membersMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needsAbility to perform Physical & Mental Effort Requirements with or without accommodation as explained belowOther duties as assignedSupportive Functions & ResponsibilitiesIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:Trains, spot-checks, praises, and coaches in accordance with Loews standardsComplete Monthly Inspections ReportsInsure adherence to the Self Inspect GuidelinesInsure adherence to the Mighty Clean ProgramPromotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to applicants, guests, co-workers, management, and business partnersExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresAttends appropriate company meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaComplies with company standards, policies & rulesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsQualificationsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:Required:Minimum 3 years experience in Housekeeping equivalent experienceProfessional presentation skillsThorough working knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping standardsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysPreferred:3 or more years experience in the Housekeeping DepartmentExperience with AAA service standardsBi-lingual (Spanish/Creole)
