Centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth between iconic sports stadiums, Globe Life Field, home of the 2023 World Series Texas Rangers and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, the 888-room resort features five restaurants and lounges, two pools with an authentic sandy beach, cabanas and a water slide as well as a fitness center, full-service spa and salon and 266,000 square feet of meeting and event space.Job SpecificSupervises activities of all Security Office, Employee Entrance and Patrol Officer operations as outlined in the Standards of Performance Manual for Security OfficersPerforms Security Department training related activitiesThoroughly understands all Hotel Emergency Response Procedures and assists in the coordination of all emergency response activitiesOversees access control activities at all facility employee entrances, ensures that only authorized individuals enterEnsures maintenance of visitor sign-in/out logs and issuance of temporary passes to visitors/vendorsOversees inspection of all packages entering and exiting through facility employee entrances, denies access to or removal of unauthorized materialsOversees verification that all materials leaving facilities are accompanied by a completed, signed package removal pass, confiscates and turns over to management, all materials not properly authorizedMaintains signature lists of Management personnel authorized to sign package removal passesSupervises/Patrols front of house, back of house and exterior hotel areas, reporting any safety or security hazards, unacceptable behavior, or suspicious persons to Security Supervisor for direction and resolutionPrepares necessary maintenance requests for safety related maintenance requirementsSupervises/Monitors CCTV cameras, radio communications, and Fire Control ComputersDocuments all security related issues and assistance provided in appropriate Security reportsOversees lost and found activities in accordance with hotel policiesEnforces hotel rules/regulations in accordance with Employee Manual and hotel policyMonitors and ensures compliance to hotel key control policies by all employeesInteracts with guests in a courteous and professional mannerResponds to all guest and employee incidents, gathers information, secures area if necessary to preserve evidenceInvestigates breaches in security and guest and employee accidentsQuestions witnesses to incidents, examines incident scenes, gathers evidence/data to assist in determination of cause and identification of areas where corrective actions are indicatedPerforms lock interrogation operations whenever necessary as part of departmental incident investigationAssists in periodic locker/wardrobe bag inspectionsAssists Director in performance of periodic safety and security inspectionsWorks closely with LHUSE Risk Manager to identify areas of potential loss/liabilityAssists Director and Risk Manager in development of loss prevention procedures/policiesCompletes all daily reports in accordance with the Safety Security ManualMay operate departmental vehicles to include electric personnel transport vehicles, pick-up trucks, bicyclesMay assist in the distribution of employee paychecksMay assist in obtaining materials from Storeroom areas during non-operating hoursEnsures that all after hour storeroom entries are documented, and that the reason for entry is indicated and that proper requisitions are obtained for all items removedAssists other hotel employees in applying Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control policiesAnswers department phone lines in prompt and courteous manner in accordance with all Loews Hotels standardsOther duties as assignedGeneralPromotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employeesExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresAttends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaComplies with hotel standards, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsQualificationsAssociates Degree or equivalentExcellent observation, communication, guest service and report writing skillsMinimum three + years previous Security supervisory experience in large convention hotelPossess, Class "D" Security license and CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtainAbility to speak, read and write English fluentlyAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
