Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Accountant to support our growing Cardiac Rhythm & Diagnostic Services (CRMDx) business. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will be responsible for performing a variety of complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, preparing external and internal reporting, working with the team on performing the monthly financial close activities, using interfaces with Dynamics 365 and Xifin, actively coordinating on internal and external audits and support SOX management testing procedures. Measuring performance against key performance indicators, and continually identifying ways to improve and streamline processes.Your Responsibilities Will Include

Oversee financial and accounting process and work closely with finance, FP&A and GBS teams, with a high focus on controls.Perform tasks related to revenue recognition and reporting.Support internal functions, through Dynamics 365 and Power Bi knowledge to drive reporting and process improvements.Perform various duties and tasks related to supporting the team with month end closing activities.Support internal, external audits and audit-related accounting matters.Perform SOX management testing and support SOX reporting and remediation plans.Perform internal quality checks on manual journals and reconciliations and provide recommendations on potential improvements related to these checks/testing performed.Optimize current financial accounting process in coordination with stakeholders.Drive compliance in all finance-related matters and ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements, and GAAP principles.Participate in implementing quality requirements in all aspects of the financial process.Identify and implement process improvement and standardization.Ensure all activities comply with legal demands, ethical standards, and the Internal Quality Management System.Ad Hoc reports and projects as needed.Required Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingMinimum of 5 years relevant experienceStrong analytical and accounting skillsHybrid role based in Houston, TX; Ability to be in the office 3 days per week for business partnering and to drive key review meetings.Preferred Qualifications

Higher education (MBA or CPA)Dynamics 365 and Power Bi experience a plusXifin experience a plusExperience with SOX environment and external audit are a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment autonomously while adhering to deadlines and having attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization.Excellent computer skills (financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint)Requisition ID:
