Department Overview:

Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations and maintenance, as well as Power Generation operations. The Team manages over 100,000 circuit miles of electric distribution lines and over 18,000 circuit miles of interconnected transmission lines, and operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation, and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for customers. Electric Operations is comprised of approximately 6,500 coworkers.

Position Summary:Business Analysts are responsible for research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision-making, business strategy, and business operations. May also be involved in business process improvement, quality control, and special projects and other initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Analysis for Objects, Business Warehouse and BOBJ SAP SME to develop financial reports, including but not limited to forecast models in support of capital construction activities.

Liaison with Capital Accounting and Regulatory, Legal and Business Finance, in development of workpapers, data requests, advice letters, in support of GRC.

Manage ECC budget, plan, forecast and resources.

Strategic development of ECC Plan.

Applies advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.

Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.

Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues.

Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.

Executes OT/UT while managing call delivery requirements across sites.

May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.

Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross-functional impact.

Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.

6 years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or graduate degree.

Extensive knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches, and tactics.

Broad expertise in what-if modeling analysis, concepts, methods, and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes.

Creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions.

Strong analytical and writing skills to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs.

Influence skills to effectively gain buy-in from leaders inside and outside of the department.

Knowledge and understanding of key drivers affecting business results.

Project management skills to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams.

Organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.

Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, or similar software.

Estimated Salary:

$20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
