We have been providing innovative fuel system solutions to our customers for over 50 years and continue to focus on developing future cutting-edge fuel systems that will help distinguish our customers' engines from their competition.Job Summary:The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of materials and components sourced from suppliers. This role involves evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to uphold our high-quality standards and drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance processes, including supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations.Establish and monitor supplier quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure compliance with company standards.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans.Participate in new supplier qualification and selection processes to ensure alignment with quality requirements.Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to resolve quality-related issues.Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards and best practices.Review and approve supplier process changes and validate the impact on product quality.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality activities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements.Proven experience with quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.Proficiency in quality management software and tools.Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.Willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed.
