OFMHS Quality Assurance Manager

This is a great opportunity to implement a quality management system with the Office of Forensic Mental Health Services (OFMHS) within the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager engages in actions that ensure that applicable standards, rules, laws, and policies regarding competency restoration are met among BHA’s competency restoration programs.In this role, you will work in a proactive manner in preventing potential regulatory issues and develop corrective plans prior to regulatory review to prevent facility citations, ongoing non-conformity, and, when applicable, maintain licensure with the Department of Health. You will also implement quality functions among the various divisions within OFMHS by working closely with OFMHS leadership staff on routine improvement-oriented functions and self-audits.Some of what you’ll do:

Develop, implement, and monitor the QA program specific to competency restoration.Provide QA guidance to leadership staff.Report QA data derived from surveys.Review performance metrics.Work collaboratively with OFMHS leadership and management staff on implementing the OFMHS Quality Management System.Track actions taken as part of Quality Improvement, Performance Improvement, and self-audits, and summarize this data quarterly.Oversee the quality assurance program for competency evaluations and summarize data derived from this program quarterly.What we’re looking for:

Professionals with a master's degree in human services or health administration or closely allied field and five years of experience within the field of quality management, of which at least 3 years must have been experience working within the treatment of mental health disorders.Or, equivalent experience and/or education.Preferred:

Communicate effectively orally and in writing with management peers, facility staff, residents, resident families, and the public is required to carry out the assigned duties of the role.Safeguard sensitive and confidential information such as documents containing confidential resident information and documents that quality under the protection of a Continuous Quality Improvement Program.Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity.Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.Questions?
