As the most comprehensive imaging service provider in Central Connecticut, we offer unparalleled growth opportunities with a nationally accredited team of experts in radiology.Job Summary:Under the clinical direction of a radiologist and general supervision of the modality supervisor, and technical director, the Modality Workflow Specialist performs and assists with workflow and modality coordination not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The Modality Workflow Specialist performs a variety of administrative tasks that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to maximize patient flow and assumes responsibility for assisting with patient care and patient safety.Works closely with modality supervisor to identify tasks to improve workflow and patient retention.Reviews schedules to identify appropriate documentation of orders, CPT Codes, authorization, prep and prior imaging.Explains proper preparation to patients prior to procedure and verifies and/or obtains appropriate patient RX or verbal order (VO) pertinent to examinations ordered.Manages work queues to identify patient safety, preparation for interventional procedures, premedication and confirmation of exams.Schedules/reschedules exams as needed to meet the needs of the practice or patient.Communicates effectively with referrals to ensure prompt and accurate ordering, completion of exam, and reporting via fax, written and verbal means.Maintains patient care standards at all times to ensure reliable and accurate imaging and quality patient care via direct contact with staff.RequirementsJob Requirements for a Modality Workflow Specialist-Required:

CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred:

Medical training program that included medical and anatomy terminologyPreferred:

Medical Assistant CertificateExperience Required: 1 year radiology experience
