The Chief Sustainability Officer will plan, guide, and direct the city’s sustainability, climate resilience, greenhouse gas reduction, and environmental justice initiatives. The Office is supported by several full-time and grant-funded positions focused on both internal sustainability initiatives and providing leadership on community-wide sustainability goals.
EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in public administration, business administration, organizational development, environmental services, urban planning or a related field is highly desired. At least six years of experience developing and managing functions related to sustainability and/or performance management is desired, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
