DescriptionWe are hiring a Retail Operations Specialist to join our growing team at Atlantic Federal Credit Union! Atlantic serves over 49,000 members, with a mission to improve their financial quality of life and take an active role within our communities; in short, we’re here to help you do better!The Retail Operations Specialist works directly with all retail teams to achieve and maintain operational excellence. The Retail Operations Specialist partners with Audit, Training, Compliance, and all Operations departments to optimize service delivery and support Atlantic's operational goals. This position works with retail managers to make operational corrections based on internal and external audit reviews and findings. Additional areas of responsibility include compliance and security. Reporting directly to the VP of Member Experience, the position will provide regular updates on retail consistency and compliance.Responsibilities:

Oversee and verify adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures in retail. Acquire and maintain knowledge of the various policies and procedures for all Credit Union business functions. Research and collaborate with applicable departments to understand process flows and convert them into formalized procedural documents with support from the Training Department. Work with retail managers to identify and perform research to address any gaps in documentation based on operational workflows within the respective departmental functions. Ensure consistency with documented procedures and actual conduct. Support the implementation of new products, services, and technologies. Function as liaison with the IT department to resolve any system-related issues affecting branch operations. Monitor over and short reports, audits, and quality control with Branch Managers. Stay informed of process changes and system/technical changes. Review and analyze current processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to the VP of Operations and the VP of Member Experience. Provide insight to branch staff in handling complex customer inquiries and transactions. Perform duties of acting branch manager when needed.Ensure all retail banking operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Monitor and report to the VP of Member Experience and/or other appropriate departments of identified operational risks and work with appropriate departments to implement and mitigate potential issues.Prepare and analyze operational reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to branch operations and member experience. Participate in the development of operational strategies and objectives.Atlantic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Requirements

Three to five years of similar or related experience.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Experience with financial institutions/credit unions preferred.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability and willingness to develop quality processes and training.Ability to travel to all branch locations as needed.
