About the job
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Operations Manager to lead and refine the operations across our retail division. Reporting to the Chief Retail Operating Officer, this role will shape the strategic direction of our business by overseeing budgets, labor management, and operational processes. Your contributions will help align our stores with Elephants Delicatessen’s high standards of quality and service.
As the Retail Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing systems, improving daily operations, and nurturing the development of our retail leadership teams. By setting operational objectives, advancing performance initiatives, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols, you'll help ensure the smooth and efficient execution of our retail strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve annual budgetary goals for labor and retail operations.
Collaborate with department managers to align capital and labor objectives with company goals.
Lead performance metrics improvement across retail operations.
Oversee POS system optimization and compliance with safety standards.
Support the recruitment, training, and development of retail management teams.
Promote and implement best practices to enhance consistency and operational excellence.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in store management within the food and beverage industry.
Experience in multi-unit restaurant or grocery operations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish priorities and make strategic decisions.
Serve Safe or Oregon Food Handlers certification and OLCC certification.
Preferred: 2-year culinary degree or bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management.
