Regional geography includes Canada, USA, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil with growth aspirations. Responsible for approximately $200M in annual spend. Responsibilities include:Create and execute the Regional Supply Chain Procurement Strategy for assigned sub-categories for company’s distribution in AMR to capture maximum value and synergies.Collaborate with global and other regional procurement category managers and stakeholders in developing and implementing AMR category strategies and strategic sourcing efforts that support Company profitability and growth.Lead contract negotiations and placement of contracts with value creation in mind for all supply chain regional needs.Assess business requirements, qualify supply chain service providers, conduct competitive tenders, evaluate offers, award and negotiate contracts.Develop business cases, should cost models, and cost adjustment formulas for identified scopes.Develop, analyze, and report savings calculations for projects and other metrics as required.Challenge existing business concepts and sole/single source situations that arise.Drive continuous improvement efforts for AMR Supply Chain and develop effective business relationships to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.Manage change management through influence, knowledge, and internal cross-functional teams.Coordinate internal needs with external market and suppliers for rapid response in a dynamic market.Enable and champion a do-it-right-the-first-time approach regarding compliance to legislation, standards, and company requirements.Manage supplier performance; segment supplier base and routinely schedule and review suppliers’ KPI performance.Coordinate all activity with legal and Global/Regional Procurement teams to ensure robust strategies, contracts, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives are in place.Assist with special projects as assigned or requested.How You Can Be the ImpactAbility to create, develop, define, challenge and execute procurement category strategies.Effective communication skills across all business levels, sites, cross-national and cross-functional organizations.Independently & proactively create plans and deliver results in a complex environment.Create should cost models and utilize market intelligence to support strategies.Lead educational awareness & compliance sessions regarding policies, procedures, and best practices.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual skills.Strong critical thinking and decision quality.Ability to build, lead and coach teams and foster business relationships.Strong cultural awareness and diversity appreciation.Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese a plus.Knowledge of SABIC products/services; specific content experience within any SBU a plus.Skilled in ERP system usage, especially SAP and Ariba.What Matters to SABICBA in Supply Chain Management (Procurement), Business Administration, Finance, Engineering (preferably Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical), Industrial Management or Economics or equivalent industry experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Logistics. MBA preferred.Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in supply chain procurement related roles, with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in directly managing road and rail transportation and logistics service categories.Eligibility RequirementsYou must submit your application for employment online to be considered.
