Atlanta, GA (Remote position)Responsibilities:Serve as an expert to address complex technical issues escalated from the support team.Provide in-depth technical support working across Development, Engineering, SQA, Product Management, and Project Management.Drive resolutions to technical issues, fully documenting them in CSM.Own testing in environments and test labs to support the deployment organization, and develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and causes.Create relevant use case scenarios and appropriate solutions to demonstrate how the GridStream, Meter Data Management, Advanced Grid Analytics, and Advanced Load Management systems operate and support improvements to customer-facing test suites.Test system modifications to prepare for implementation and document software and application defects.Support System Integration Testing (SIT) for customer deployments and lead creation of standard operating procedures and solutions for technical elements that are effective and repeatable.Adhere to formal change control processes and participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements.Support software installation activities for new releases and provide post-implementation support, and test and support beta versions of software and identify gaps in technical documentation such as release notes.Participate in response teams for root cause analysis of system problems identified in the deployment of company solutions and act as the liaison to the other business units within Landis+Gyr to resolve and follow through on technical issues and defects.Salary range:
$117,200 - $118,400/yearRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and five years of experience in the job offered or five years software and hardware solutions.Experience must include five years each of the following:wireless technologies;software quality testing;Utility domain experience;Server platforms/Unix, Networking and Scripting;Application Server architecture using WebLogic, WebSphere, or similar architectures;testing using SOAP UI;writing PL/SQL queries in Oracle databases;resolving configuration related problems;troubleshooting Unix based application issues.Experience may be gained concurrently.We're committed to shaping a better future for everyone.
