https://www.digipen.edu/ .OVERVIEW:Reports to the VP of Career and Alumni Relations. The position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Career and Alumni Relations department, with emphasis on student and alumni advising, campus communication, administrative support, and to perform other related work as requested. This position is non-exempt, full-time, some evening and weekend hours are required. Some out-of-state travel may be required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage weekly communications with students, alumni, faculty, and campus community regarding department events and updates.Manage marketing of all Career and Alumni Relations events (advertising in Handshake, on campus, online, and partnering with Student Engagement and Marketing on advertising initiatives).Oversee the Professional Development Scholarship fund (marketing, tracking, and budgeting).Support departmental events (NextGen Industry Mixer, Fall Career Event, Alumni Reunion, etc).Upkeep daily maintenance of DigiPen’s Handshake platform (verify student and alumni accounts, post department events and manage registrations, update Resource Center).Assist in data collection efforts for workshops, events, and external data requests.Develop strategies to support students/alumni of diverse backgrounds and identities in professional development and job search processes.Continuously research and implement best practices in career services and student/alumni development.Assist with campus-wide Employment Verification process and other departmental tasks as needed.Other duties as assigned.Shared Responsibilities:Support current students and alumni both in one-on-one advising and in career-related workshops to encourage professional development (resume/cover letter writing, interviewing, networking, salary negotiating, etc.).Thorough documentation of departmental activity.Serve on campus committees, as needed.Communicate and coordinate with employers for campus events and networking opportunities.Represent at interdepartmental events such as New Student Orientation, Preview Days, etc.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree, or relevant work experience.Event planning experience.Ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written, and electronic means.Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and environment that is welcoming to all students, alumni, staff members, and industry professionals.Proven professionalism with written & verbal communication skills and comfort with public speaking.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional organizational abilities while performing duties such as calendar management, email correspondence tracking, and scheduling meetings.Excellent self-management skills, highly detail oriented, and motivated.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with diverse populations.Experience working in Student Affairs or Higher Education.Experience with student leadership development programming.Familiarity with career and alumni management systems (Handshake, Symplicity, GradLeaders, etc.).Understanding of career development best practices such as cover letter writing, resume writing, interviewing, and networking.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to read, speak, and write in English clearly.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Have considerable manual dexterity (typing, filing, etc.).LOCATION:

Redmond, WA – This in-person position requires candidates to be available on-site.SALARY RANGE:
