.COORDINATOR OF EMPLOYER RELATIONSOffice of Career and Alumni Relations

OVERVIEWReporting to the VP of Career and Alumni Relations, the Coordinator of Employer Relations will connect with industry professionals to identify opportunities to collaborate and ultimately grow DigiPen’s employer base. This role has a great emphasis on email communication, relationship building, calendar management, & event planning. This position is non-exempt, full-time, and some evening and weekend hours are required. Some out-of-state travel may be required.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop strategic planning initiatives to contribute to the growth of DigiPen’s relationship with industry employers and contactsManage and maintain detailed information about employer contacts in DigiPen’s Career Services management platform (Handshake)Source new employer contacts that previously do not have a relationship with DigiPen to cultivate opportunities for students/graduates and onboard them onto the Handshake systemRecruit employers to attend major on-campus events including Company Days, Fall Career Event, and NextGen Industry Mixer, etc. and assist with event planningPlan and execute weekly employer events (Company Days, mixers, etc.)Oversee Career and Alumni Relations social media groups (Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord)Maintain employer engagement documentation annuallyDevelop and maintain a communication plan for employers using email marketing and newslettersDevelop relationships with employers through regular calls, emails, and meetingsDevelop surveys and feedback channels for improving DigiPen’s external employer relationsAssist with campus-wide Employment Verification processAssist with internal and external data collection effortsKeep team apprised of events and progressOther duties as assignedShared Responsibilities:Support current students and alumni both in one-on-one advising and in career-related workshops to encourage professional development (resume/cover letter writing, interviewing, networking, salary negotiating, etc.)Thorough documentation of departmental activityRepresent and assist with interdepartmental events such as New Student Orientation, Preview Days, etc.Serve on campus committees, as neededREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English, Higher Education, or related fieldAbility to maintain a professional demeanor and environment that is welcoming to all students, alumni, staff members, and industry professionalsFamiliarity with the Interactive Entertainment Industry and/or adjacent industries (animation, tech, etc.)Proficiency with Social Media, particularly LinkedIn and DiscordProven professionalism with written & verbal communication skills and comfort with public speakingAbility to collaborate with internal colleagues and industry partnersExceptional organizational abilities while performing duties such as calendar management, email correspondence tracking, and scheduling meetingsHigh energy level, motivation, professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail requiredStrong written and grammatical skillsComfort with cold outreach efforts (calls, emails, etc.)Excellent self-management skills, highly detail oriented, and motivatedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated experience working in career services fieldFamiliarity with career services management platforms (Handshake, Symplicity, GradLeaders, etc.)Event planning experienceSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of timeMust be able to read, speak, and write in English clearlyMust be able to lift up to 50lbsHave considerable manual dexterity (typing, filing, etc.)LOCATION:
