The Opportunity:

This critical lead role will coordinate with program managers and headquarters’ staff to design and develop statewide policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and training for the delivery of the Family Time program, Combined in-home services, and Professional Services. This position will increase child safety by supporting policy and practice through statewide collaborations.

Some of what you will get to do:

Provide Family Time Visitation consultation, policy interpretations, technical support, direction, and oversight to Child Welfare Field Operations professional staff, the community, and providers.Establish goals, objectives, and training needs for providers.Provide feedback to providers for quality assurance purposes.Assist with on-site reviews and monitoring of corrective action plans.Provide senior-level consultation and hands-on technical support, training, policy interpretation, contract interpretation, direction, and oversight.Engage in data-driven assessment to provide analysis of In-Home Services and Family Time practices.Monitor policy implementations, quality of service delivery, and contract compliance of Professional Service contracted providers.

Required Qualifications:

Equivalent education and experience totaling nine years in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.OROne year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent,ORTwo years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 or equivalent,ORA Bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field; and five years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs,ORA Master's degree or higher in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field, and four years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs.

Note: Two years of paid social service experience must include assessing risk and safety to children and providing direct family-centered practice services (strengthening and preserving family units).

In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:

Working knowledge of developing effective safety plans that reduce future risk of child abuse or neglect and improve child safety.Working knowledge of child development, including early childhood brain development.Previously demonstrated working knowledge of DCYF programs and policies.Demonstrated ability to impart knowledge, teach, coach and support individual learning/understanding of data.Strong working knowledge of Washington’s electronic child welfare records system, FAMLINK.How do I apply?
