The Experimentation and Wargaming Specialist will lead and support initiatives within NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT) to enhance NATO's warfare development capabilities through rigorous experimentation and innovative wargaming techniques. The role involves designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments and wargames that are critical to NATO’s ability to maintain a strategic advantage across multiple domains.Key Responsibilities:

Wargame Design and Execution:

Lead the design, planning, and execution of wargames, including both digital and physical formats. These activities are essential for testing new concepts, capabilities, and strategies to inform decision-making processes at various levels of NATO command.Experimentation Management:

Manage and coordinate comprehensive experimentation programs aimed at validating new operational concepts, identifying vulnerabilities, and exploring innovative solutions that enhance NATO’s defense posture.Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Work closely with stakeholders across NATO, including military commands, national agencies, and academic institutions, to foster collaboration and share best practices in wargaming and experimentation.Doctrine Development:

Contribute to the development of NATO’s wargaming and experimentation doctrine and policy, ensuring that these activities are aligned with the Alliance’s strategic objectives and are effectively integrated into NATO’s broader operational framework.Training and Education:

Develop and deliver wargaming education programs, including practitioner-level courses and online training modules, to build capacity within NATO and its member states. This includes the creation and updating of the NATO Wargaming Handbook.Data Analytics and Reporting:

Utilize advanced data analytics to enhance the realism and effectiveness of wargames, providing detailed reports and insights that inform NATO’s strategic and operational planning.Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in operations research, military science, strategic studies, or a related field.Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in wargaming, military modeling and simulation, or related fields. Experience within a NATO or multinational military context is highly desirable.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in wargaming software, data analytics tools, and simulation platforms. Familiarity with NATO’s operational and strategic planning processes is essential.Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.Clearance:

A current SECRET security clearance is required.Benefits:
