Project Managers drive projects from inception to completion, identify and document project requirements, support clients on various information security initiatives, keep stakeholders apprised of project and budget status, and manage issues to resolution. They are responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, control, closing) with a focus on managing project risk and forecasting challenges.How You'll Make An Impact
The Project Manager is accountable for the execution and delivery of customer-focused security solution projects ensuring uninterrupted progress.The Project Manager shall have the skills necessary to drive project progress across multiple stakeholders with assurance on maintaining timeliness and effective resource utilization.The Project Manager shall have the ability to develop strategic project delivery plans, detailed schedules, and risk management strategies.Accountable for progress; drives timelines by maintaining schedules, identifying and managing issues, risks, and delays.Coordinate and facilitate internal and external planning and project status meetings.Identify, assess, and track potential risk issues and create appropriate mitigation plans.Ensure project quality and consistency through sound application of methodologies and standards.Monitor project budget, burn rates, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.Report to a Program Manager on cross-capability projects and collaborate with peers to track dependencies and issues.Consolidate and report project performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.Coordinate and manage projects across various functional groups.Establish communication plans for project team coordination and status updates.Implement project management controls to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Maintain commitment to project milestones and take necessary actions to achieve commitments.Ensure strong communication about the project to the team and maintain working relationships with subject matter experts.What We're Looking For
BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree is desirable.3-6 years of experience in a customer-facing project/program delivery leadership role.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.Excellent Project Management skills, specifically managing multiple clients and initiatives.Management of information security projects preferred.Demonstrated experience with Project Management methodologies and toolsets required.Experience within Splunk, Palo Alto and/or Secure Cloud preferred.Experience interfacing with clients and partners required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Results-oriented, high energy, self-motivated.Outstanding time management and organizational skills required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.Previous experience in a security services environment preferred.Ability to work as a team player with strong interpersonal skills required.What You Can Expect From Optiv
